RAUE LLP advises Axel Springer AG in a press law suit against the (former) interior minister Rainer Speer, who had tried to prevent the publishing houses newspapers from reporting on the ministers involvement in fraudulent behaviour of third parties towards public welfare authorities. After the lower state court had primarily granted a pre-emptive court order against such reporting, this decision has been overturned on 23 September 2010. Minister Speer stepped down from his office on the very same day. |
