| Advertising for recycling paper: RAUE LLP secures court victory for Steinbeis Temming |
|
Berlin, 5 August 2010
In 2008, the District Court of Berlin banned a competitor of the paper producer Steinbeis Temming from labelling an office paper product as “100% recycled”. 50% of the paper was made of production waste (paper trimmings) that had not been in circulation. The appeal court has now upheld the decision arguing that the designation “100% recycled” misled the consumers. RAUE LLP has been representing Steinbeis Temming in the non-final proceedings which involve issues of unfair competition, environmental, and EC law. Based in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Steinbeis Temming is one of the leading German producers of recycling paper. |
